Solar System and The Milky Way- part 1, Romania

We started our journey to the Milky Way. On Friday, The Little Bees from Brașov, Romania, learnt about the Milky Way, the Solar System, theplanets and satelites and the distances between them. More to come :)

"OPEN THE GATES TO THE UNIVERSE"

About the project

The students will discover different aspects of Space Science and Astronomy, working on a subject in English. They will explore some aspects of Science included in their curriculum, working in international groups.

AIMS

To 'start where the children are', building on the ideas children bring with them to lessons and helping them to develop their understanding of scientific concepts related to the Universe.
To understand the diversity of weather conditions and as part of a world
community understand their responsibility for the environment.
To identify main planets and stars on the sky ;
To develop an understanding of basic notions related too Earth and Sun;
To identify and describe natural phenomena of day and night: the moon, the stars and the sun.;
To describe different features and functions of the sun.;
To improve Arts and Crafts ability doing the different works;
To enhance ICT activities to communicate effectively

WORK PROCESS

We are expecting our students to be aware of the world around them; to think, learn and experiment with new STEM concepts.; to build their study skills.; to improve language command and their ICT skills; to be aware of what they are learning and the others learn. and of other’s needs.
The final product will be an e-magazine containing part s of students’ work.
